Hi fibroscan 18 told I have fibrosis is 18 a high score? Can I fix this

The score chart I think goes up to about 70. So its not that high. What it means tends to vary dependent upon why you have liver damage.

Hi thanks for your reply The problems I have are I've had fatty liver for 15 years also raised gamma gt and now have raised ALT,So think I'm on my way out

Anything over 11.5kpa is into the 'red' zone for NAFLD fatty liver, if thats what your diagnosis is.

If you know the cause of the fat deposits in your liver - and these vary from the obvious ones like being overweight or on a poor diet or having high cholesterol to less obvious like insulin resistance, diabetes or a side effect of too much alcohol.. then you can hopefully remove the cause and at least improve your liver health if not reverse the cirrhosis (which is what you have if your Fibroscan is 18)
