Hi

I am not sure what the exact effect could be on your situation, but I got chicken pox as an adult and it was very nasty., much worse that in childhood.

My recommendation is to try and avoid it!

You may be at risk of shingles if the virus gets reactivated in you. I would contact your GP or liver team for advice asap.

I have spoke to my gp and had a blood test to see what my antibodies are like,Will get the results tomorrow,if there not good then I'll have a vaccination,I have been given anti virals to take if I should come with chicken pox or shingles rash, will let you know tomorrow.

good news, blood results show i have antibodies to chicken pox so therefore am immune to it , however i now have a supply of anti virals should i break out with shingles , this is the up to date procedure in the uk for ppl who are immune suppressed and have come into contact with chicken pox , if your found not to have immunity then you are offered antibodies via a transfusion , not the vaccine.
