Hi

Its not the best news, but there is lots of hope, transplants seem to really work and my symptoms and stats have dropped to a level I have been taken off the transplant list, so recovery can be considered with no drink good food etc.,

I have been on this journey for a few years now and its a testing one

But good luck all can turn out well

David

If they have listed you, it may also be because the wait can be long. As David said, it is possible to improve, but if not, transplant is amazing! Let us know if you have any more questions :)

My husband was diagnosed 5 weeks ago, he hasn't drank for 7 weeks and is eating healthily, his ascites was

drained in hospital, and the diuretics have kept that at bay, plus this weeks bloods show a normal liver function!

Positive thinking and a real desire to get better have helped. Best of luck and keep strong.

Like David has said, it isn't the best of news but your liver function can improve! I was diagnosed with idiopathic cirrhosis a couple of years back when I was 19 and I was really ill with it for a couple of months but I have been great ever since. I have had one or two complications since, but my liver function hasn't gotten so bad that I have had to be hospitalised again. Keep positive! As long as you eat the right things and drink the right things and keep a healthy ish life style then your function may improve and you may be removed from the list.

Good luck!
