Hi. I also have NASH cirrhosis. I do not think that the cirrhosis is reversible as such but you need to discuss your own test results with your hepatologist. It can certainly be improved by losing weight - easier said than done (I am trying really hard on this myself). My hepatologists said that the things I can do to help are losing weight and keeping fit. So I have increased my exercise (just added in 'normal' exercises like cycling, swimming, walking etc -but doing them much more often). The support provision varies across the country - is there a specialist nurse at the hospital you are treated at - if so make use of that facitlity to discuss what can be done to help. Do keep in touch via these pages - and good luck. There are a few of us here to always be there for you.

Excercise helps to provide fitness but to lose weight, although exercise does make a contribution,it's use is not the best way to lose weight. The best way to lose weight is to count the calories you consume. I use an app called noom which has worked for me,but does require self discipline.

Thank u gamesmaker. I am walking briskly everyday. I am taking healthy diet and fat free foods. I just want to know that is fibrosis reversible? Plz help. I am very much tensed. My fibroscan reading came as 2.08 mean under ARFI.

A fibroscan result of 2.08 sounds very good and to my untrained ears does not seem to be in the fibrosis range at all. - when do you get a chance to discuss at the hospital?

I do not really understand what they mean by 'grade 3' - it is not a term I have come across when talking to my hepatologist. My sister had a fibroscan result of about 5 or 6 and was told that it showed nothing to worry about (she has NASH as well as me). Mine was 27, so obviously a lot higher than my sister's. However we go to different liver units so cannot really compare notes very often! Good luck with your appointment.

The ARFI scan reading only goes up to 4 I think. Its more detailed than the fibroscan. Ive had mine this week but I don't know results yet :(
