Donβt eat before a run (early morning). Oats afterwards.
Usually nothing or coffee, till recently. Now I have flapjacks before running half distances π Fuel and a treat in one. Less than that it's just back to coffee though, anything else just gets in the way and makes me feel sluggish.

Cup of tea.. two light digestives... and a sip of water just before heading out

I generally run in the morning, and Iβm a smoothie for breakfast person - nut milk, frozen fruit, nut butter and a banana is my usual start to the day - I donβt generally change it.
If Iβm running later in the day I rely on whatever my last meal was.
Either way, I snack when I get back in again.
If Iβm running in the morning then just a coffee- otherwise known as a βfastingβ run. I get a stitch if I try and eat within 4 hours of running so tried the fasting technique at the park run on Saturday and it seemed to work for me. Quite hungry afterwards of course ...π₯ππβοΈπ₯ͺπ³π₯
Coffee, a few walnuts and a couple of dried figs.
I have breakfast when I get back!

I canβt take anything more than a coffee within a few hours of a run, like Sqkr it makes me sluggish and often gives me stomach cramps

I canβt run without my cup of tea βοΈ In the morning and then unzip a banana π

I can't do anything without food so it's porridge for me with flax seeds and honey and full cream milk ππ and lots of tea!
I'm a bit surprised that more people don't eat porridge as it's a slow burning carb.
![GoogleMe profile image](https://images.hu-production.be/avatars/3488447a9701f91e0a60aca2e3c3bcc8_small@2x_100x100.jpg)
All of those would be nice (well the banana and the peanut butter together in wholemeal bread rather than toast)
Other is rosti or a sort of kale/chard drop scone with fried egg and veggie bacon.
Anything really except cereal and milk (dairy or non-dairy) as for some reason unless I eat a lot of other stuff straight after, it makes me feel as though I am dying later.
And a couple of hours before the run.

Tea and vape.
I don't eat before a run

I run best after porridge and tea, but have to wait for an hour or so. I have done a long run on empty and it was hard work.
I usually have enough energy for my evening runs to just go thoughπx
I'll probably get shouted at for this but because I run as soon as I get up I just have a pint of water.
When I am planning to run over 5Km, or over 30 minutes, I find I do need to eat something, if only to get the insides awake because I always run at dawn. I put rolled-oats with sultanas and raisins with oat-milk in the fridge overnight. Small handful of blueberries then eat while I wait for the sun to get out of bed...
I don't tend to eat anything but sometimes I have some almonds.

I routinely go for deep fried bananas coated in chocolate, a doughnut, perhaps a steak with a pint or two of moderate alcohol level lager. Minutes before the run. I will smoke one or two in order to calm down.
Alternatively, a boiled egg, a banana and green tea or a glass of water. That sorts me out for anything up to 15K.
Porridge with banana. Not to much but about an hour before before the run. Just enough to see you thru.
Morning! I try to run first thing, so I have a banana and porridge afterwards. Just completed W7, so into the routine!

Just coffee for me - anything else and I'll get a stitch x

Banana - and half a glass of milk
Just a mug of tea for me.

I don't eat before a run either, but I do have a teaspoon of honey in a large glass of warm to hot water about 10-15 mins before I set off. Sometimes I do indulge in half a banana too π.

I run early in the morning and never eat beforehand

Tea always tea as I'm a morning runner usually, half a barno and the rest after the run with muesli and extra almonds.More tea and fruit juice. On running days I'm always more health concious about lunch.

MUST have my morning coffee, then either peanut butter toast or banana and yogurt or toast and eggs, just depends on what my tummy wants that day!

Canβt eat much before a run, so I have a small maple syrup oat cereal bar that comes in a pair. I have one before I go out and the other when I get back. Seems to work ok so far π

To be precise, a bite of banana! π I have the rest after Iβve run. ππββοΈπ

I tend to eat after as I feel too heavy after eating. Usually I run after work so I've had breakfast, second breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack already ππ
On the occasions that I do run in the morning I'll have a cup of tea and maybe a Belvita biscuit about 30 mins before.
I need to eat before running. So if it's a morning run, it's porridge with nuts, seeds, honey, dried fruit and yogurt and coffee. Slice of brown bread before a lunchtime run. Soup or yogurt before an evening run. I'm light headed if I don't eat beforehand.
I don't eat before a morning run just get up and go

Toast with Marmite before. Banana during run.
