FAFFAGE- how long does it take you to get out for a run?

About ten minutes, maybe less, no time for faffage!
It frequently takes me 20 minutes plus..... I can never find anything and I am very easily distracted!!!
An hour - I am the Queen of Faff π€£
No more than 15 minutes really, up dressed , coffee and out .. i am way to organised ...
I lay my clothes out the night before but must have a coffee before I leave - so 15mins max for me. βοΈππ»ββοΈπͺπΌπ¬
I have everything ready the night before but I need my brain and muscle food before I head out! 2 minutes getting dressed, 2 minutes preparing smoothie, 5 minutes drinking it, 1 minute logging on to app etc. Yeah, that's about right - ceteris paribus!
It can take me 15 minutes just to fight my way into one of my sports bras...
I'm always surprised at how long it has taken. Maybe the espresso and careful perusal of which podcast I am going to listen to doesn't help, but I like to think most of the process is a full stretching regime!
I know where all my stuff is, takes me 5 minutes to get dressed, but lining up a couple of podcasts and getting my phone to acknowledge the presence of my headphones or the other way around can take another 10.
This a great poll. I put 10 to 15 mins. This is for an average run BUT. if it is over 14km it all starts the night before. Kit is put together on my dresser, then on the dining table there is the back pack,bladder pack. Headphones spare gloves (my hands get cold mid run even in summer) keys and any fuel. Music. Is checked, phone is charged, route is double checked for the correct distance. Nice meal is eaten. So basically ages ππππ. But for me that is the start of the fun of a long run.
Sometimes it can take me weeks, when my mind is not in the right place π
Oh dear! I posted about this three years ago and I have to go through over 20 items before I get out π I'm not any better. Although I have been able to get ready in 15 minutes (that's quick for me) but I love taking my time and building up to it π
It definitely varies : some days I've thought about the run all day at work so when I get home it's quick change (before I even look at the sofa) *and it's straight out - I prepare my music during my warm up walk : some days I'm like a child getting ready for school : can't find anything, need to eat, need a safety wee, jumper?, music?, route?, water
In the 10 to 15 min range. Phone in pocket in case there is something interesting to photograph. Shorts, top, socks and shoes on, set watch and GO.
Mind you the amount of faffing about when I get back is of a different order.
(1)Grin like monkey if its been a good run (5 mins),
(2) Wander around being sweaty and self righteous (10 mins)
(3) Check if Strava confirms my run was a good one and post ( supposedly witty )comment
(3 mins)
(4) Shower and dress ( still grinning) 10 mins

This may be more information than anyone needs (or wants) but (for morning runs) it depends how long it takes before I can visit the bathroom!
About 5 minutes to get changed and get Strava up and running on my watch, 10 minutes to do some stretches.
Iβm up, dressed and out in about 15 minutes having also made my wifeβs breakfast and taken it in to her so itβs there for when she wakes up. Iβm normally back before that happens so the first thing she sees is a sweaty, red faced old man - not sure how our marriage has lasted so long. π

It depends on the length of run planned, like Realfoodieclub and Hidden , some prep I do the night before,I.e kit, and in the morning if going early, on a long run - over 10k.....need time to βallowβ my body to realise it needs the bathroom before I leave....π³......I have been caught short in the past...π±.......oh the joy of running! ππββοΈ

I STILL haven't gotten out....
I always think it'll take about 10 minutes, then too stiff to do my laces up, Strava won't detect my HRM, dog won't come in from the garden... and before you know it, half hour has gone π
Alarm at 5am try to get organised as quietly as possible - then after I've had a glass of water and located the head torch and phone I'm out the door on the 5 minute warm up starting 5:15 to 5:20 ... then do the 10k ...
I'd love to be super slick all the time, but alas... the sudden cooler temperature bought me out if a faff for warmer kit.
From zero to a week... (I am not kidding, at either extreme... can go from "I could run now, I'll be OK in my sandals" after 5 minutes walking to day after day of putting the sports bra on first thing...)
yepyep. Have put the sports bra on three days in a row - just made myself do an errand which involved running across town, so that's 3K run-walk after two weeks. Le sigh...
I take up to 30 minutes but that is from the time I open my eyes when my alarm goes off in the morning
I will get into clothes then go online and get distracted, then put on shoes, then take a call, then finally get into the keys/headphones/phone out the door phase. Oh, then faff a bit about the temperature or whether a quick loo visit will be necessary. This process is infinitely expandable.
I procrastinate - especially now itβs colder!
