my wife does hand exercise with a spring type hand pusher and often finds that she is able to put less pressure from the right arm( affected arm with MRM AND ALND DONE) Then the left arm(normal side)

is this normal?

Dear Many, yes this is normal but i am not sure she suppose to use hand pusher for exercise..lets wait for the others opinion.

She doesn't do this exercise regularly but. Just did it to see if can be done with both hands with same pressure

There will be a difference in the energy level in both the hands for some months or even a year

MRM and ALND would not normally affect the strength of the arm. However, over a period of time, many women develop lymph related swelling and quite often, even my patients tell me that the power is a bit less in the affected arm. Nothing active needs to be done. Just ensure that she does not lift weights with that hand. Also, spring type pusher might be a bit strong, so even a smiley ball exercise should do.
