lump found…

Hi

I’ve recently developed a lump in my right breast which just appeared over night last week ~ it’s really sore and it looks like I have a bruise area about the size of a ten pence , I went to GP ho had referred me to breast clinic and I’ve just received a appointment for next Tuesday which is 2 weeks since I went to GP… The wait is awful I tried since last week to be calm and not “google” too much but yesterday I broke down I’m just so scared 🥺 will I have an idea next week if it’s cancer or will I have to wait even longer?x

Hi Mercat, Unfortunately you will need to have many tests before you will know exactly what it is. Usually a mammogram, and an ultrasound followed by a biopsy if the ultrasound doesn't help make a determination. I don't understand why your doctor can't send you for a mammogram. I don't know your age or if you have had one recently but I hope they will do something soon. God Bless!

Your Dr has done the right thing anything to do with breasts you should (and you have) been referred and get appt within 2 weeks , there is nothing more you or your Dr can do but wait and as other person said you will have tests and will have to wait before a diagnosis can be given, I know it's horrible waiting but try not to Google anything there is lots of false informtion on the web. It is waiting game unfortunately. Good luck.xx

Hi, please keep yourself calm, I'm a breast cancer survivor myself, just wait for your appointment day, you will have a few tests, but you have definitely been dealt with by the NHS, the same as all if us survivor's , we know what your going through xxxxx

I’m new to this journey too. I didn’t feel a lump, but had puckering on the underside of my boob and I was in the breast clinic within 2 weeks. In my local hospital, they try to do a one stop shop for potential breast cancer. So they do a consultation, mammogram & ultra sound & hopefully (if needed ) a biopsy. That will give them an idea, but waiting for results and further tests is a worrying time for sure

Good luck, 🤞 it is a cyst or non cancerous lump for you xx

Thank you I had hoped they’d do as much as they can on Tuesday and that I would be going away from the clinic with some idea what I have or what they think 🥺 - it’s all very scary isn’t it

I hope your doing ok too xx

Thank you all for your kind wishes and words which helped me get ready for today, it was a long 3hrs appointment , mammogram , then scan and then they needed more mammograms at different angles , but in the end it was good news ~ it is a cyst I have ~ honestly have never been so scared every minute felt like a lifetime, I’m so grateful to have been given the all clear 🙏🏽 sending love and hugs to you all 🫶🏼
