In 2018, I was told my cerebral aneurysm was only 6mm in size, so I was discharged; no further action. I hear what sounds like blood flow in my ears. I have very loud Tinnitus and Menieres disease. I am 62 years old .

Hi Dee, it is obviously worrying you do you not go for repeat scans to check on changes, 2018 is quite a while a go, if not I would speak to your doctor in view of your history it should be checked. There is no saying it will stay that size, and they will only know with a scan, it may just be me, as mine as always been very unpredictable and has grown in size and ruptured once, let us know how you get on love Alice xx

Hello DeeKay, how well investigated was your aneurysm? 2018 is the year after I had a craniotomy and clipping of mine, which was found by chance when my tinnitus was being investigated. The aneurysm was 22mm x 14mm and after scans and angiograms they performed major surgery on it taking into account my age at the time and the huge risk of rupture, which couldn't have been dealt with in time. Did they look into the risks of yours? I'm surprised they haven't scanned you since 2018 unless everything looked OK. If I were you I'd express your concerns to your GP and ask to be referred back to the neurovascular people for further checks. Hopefully you will be reassured after they check you. I wish you all the best xx PS I still have the tinnitus, apparently nothing to do with the aneursym.

PPS I was 52 when the aneurysm was found and operated on and I'm 60 now. I had very little follow up after the surgery, but I did talk to my GP about this and I had a brain scan in October 2022. Apparently all OK (fingers crossed, touch wood).
