I had surgery for a 4.8 mm unruptured aneurysm, and go in later this week for the follow up procedure. Where are you located?

my unruptured aneurysm was significantly larger than yours so the approach may not be relevant to you. Given that yours is small, you need to understand a few more things about your particular case, like where is it? And what shape is it?

Neuro-radiologists/surgeons really approach treatment on a case by case basis and often will recommend a wait and see approach particularly with small aneurysms.

If you need any reassurance about the approach being recommended, ask for a second opinion - I did, and got no push-back at all
