Hi Peppy

Hope still doing fine👍🏻can’t believe it’s nearly a year since you had your op.

I’m doing well also after mine and they are still happy to monitor the other 4!!!! In answer to you question. I don’t think they can tell as a lot of people are born with them but they just can’t tell how long the aneurysm has been there. Most people don’t know and only realise when they’ve had a problem ie rupture or symptoms.

Hope you get the answer to your question you could always call the secretary of the surgeon who did you op. GP’s are fine but stick to the Neuro people.

Regards and good wishes

So pleased u r well. I just had my first mra scan on the 20th last month so I’m not sure if it’s all good r not. Yes how time has flown by. I’m asking this question as As u no I had a car crash .. that’s when they found anrysm! I trying to find out if it happened because of crash r not. Meaning I need to find out if there is a way of finding how old the anrysm is. X

I have a slightly different (but similar) medical issue. It doesn't seem very likely to me that your crash caused your aneurysm though. Most things like this are already present but lie dormant until discovered or cause other problems. Lulu x

A bang to the head can be the cause but the only way you would know for definite is if you had a mri the day before the crash which showed it wasnt there then.
