Hi Peppy. I am 18 months on and have been jobhunting for about 6 -but my situation is complicated by my ME diagnosis so probably not the best comparator. I would think without that complication 6 months is probably long enough to have got a hande on how any knock on impacts from a coiling procedure might have affected you - in terms of cognitive defects, pain and fatigue in particular. Some people have no after effects, others really struggle with headaches, short term memory loss and difficulty in multi-tasking. So it is a very individual thing really.

I had an aneurysm coiled after it ruptured in Oct 2917, I'm already retired but had I been working I would have returned in Feb 2018 probably part-time to start with. Hope rhis helps.

I had the most awful sudden headache - thunderclap headache, far worse than anything I've ever had before, a little while later I was sick. Also I could not bear the lights on, had to cover my eyes. I didn't know it at the time but these are common haemorrhage symptoms. I called the ambulance. The rest is history. It has been discovered that I have a 2nd aneurysm - 2 mm that is not far from the 1st one. Medics and I are considering what to do. Hope this helps.

I would be petrified. But like i say u survived. The worst headache of ur life i think if i eva get a truly severe headache il ring ambulance..glad u are ok. The 2mm one wont rupture it just cant something so small wont burst unless it grows. Like u blow a balloon with one blow it wont burst unless it keeps gettin bigger and becomes weak and bursts . There no point doing owt to the 2mm aneurysm there more risk of them bursting it when they go in with coil or try clip it i wunt bother. Its very tiny ures and mine its like a bead i wunt even been bothered about it but may be cos its not far frm the 1st one it could cause somet if the1st one grows etc?? I wud just keep an eye with mri to see if it grows.. mine hasnt changed since 2014. And to be honest i dont even care about it lol cos its so small!!! People have these at autopsy that have died from other causes i wud only worry about the big ones and the ones that r growin. All the best luv xx

Did it just leak or actually rupture

We don't know why it ruptured, I'm not a smoker or a drinker and my BP is within the safe norms.
