hi does anyone on ere know how i go about getin a copy of my medical records copy of my xrays , what my surgery involved, any after effects i should b aware of, a list of do,s & dont,s for the future etc etc, any help would b much appreciated look forward to hearing off you kind regards LOUISE AVO.
SORRY I DIDNT MENTION THAT MY SURGERY WAS TO HAVE MY RUPTURED BRAIN ANEURYSM WHICH HAD STARTED TO BURST & CAUSED ME TO AV A BLEED ON MY BRAIN ASWELL, THE SURGEON SAID IF ID BEEN HOME ALONE I WOULD AV DIED,SOMEONE WAS LOOKIN DOWN ON ME,FOR SURE, LOL , SO I NOW TAKE LIFE DAY BY DAY & EVERY MORNING I WAKE , I SAY THANK YOU GOD !!!!!! Ask your GP - there will be a charge to pay. They will be able to do your general records. For your surgery etc. contact the PALS team at the hospital where it was done and they will be abke to send you the forms. Again there will be a charge.
As to your questions on after-effects etc everyone is different.but you can probably expect a combination of some, all or none of the following, depending on what your aneurysm was like, how it ruptured, andwhat procedures followed: fatigue, memory difficulties, information processing problems, muscular dofficulties, seizures, headaches, sight problems, language difficulties. Best to ask your surgeon for a review to discuss post-op life questions such as this tbh.
