The surgeon from Charing Cross came up to Coventry to do my coiling for a burst aneurysm and he was excellent.

Interesting to read your comment Jacmidlands I’m under Coventry Hospital and have been messed around by them since December 2016 so alarming that why did they have to get a surgeon from London ?

But really pleased to read you are on the mend x

I think that they are having recruitment problems. I heard that one post couldn't be filled for a year. I wonder if there is a national shortage of neurosurgeons?

Don’t really mean ‘like’ that comment. How annoying! Fingers crossed that the op will go ahead next week.

Well I have had three cancelled operations one of which I actually spent the night on the ward and was sent home the following day, one I sat waiting for 4 hours for a bed and lastly a call to cancel . So I am no further on just wasted three months of my life waiting for this , so decided to get back in my bike and when it happens it happens

Oh no! I've only just seen this sorry. You must be so p****d off with all that. I know there's a shortage of neurosurgeons but that is ridiculous. The problem is that since it's an emergency when an aneurysm bursts (like mine did) those cases take precedence over those on the waiting list.

You might as well just live your life and hope for the best. Just don't forget to wear your helmet when you're on your bike!
