Well I went for my first hospital appointment and have been told they will be leaving it alone as very small and less then 1% chance of bursting, they are going to re scan me in December and as long as no growth I will then go on 5 yearly scans. However if I ever get a sudden extremely painful headache go to A & E.

Thanks, think I will feel better in December when I have scan and hopefully no change, or if they had scanned it whilst I was there just to check it hasn't grown. Just got to get on with it now though and try to forget about it until then.

Hi Sharon, I wondered how you have been. It is reassuring to know they don't need to operate and that it is only small. There is always that little niggle I know and worry every time you have a headache. How have you been feeling of late and have you had any cause for concern. I have just recently had an 8mm aneurysm clipped and all went well. They said I would have to go to ITU and high dependency but went so well I went straight to ward. My friend has many aneurysm and gets them checked regularly. I empathise as there is always that thought in your mind about it. You know its there and you know to act fast if anything happens but try not to let it ruin your life. My friend has had 4 leak and they dealt with them very quickly and the danger is not knowing about them. Now you know you won't hesitate to act or pass it off as nothing. How did your scan go in December? Was there any growth.

Hi Navillus,

Fantastic news to hear all went well with you. Is very reassuring.

I am due my scan this December so not sure if any growth yet., although just been doctors as not

feeling well will a funny sensation of like wearing a skull cap on my head and feeling a little drunk.

Doctor feels that it could be sinusitis again and is treating me for that, but it does worry me.

In fairness the nasal spray has shifted the feeling in my head, so we shall see.

I totally empathise - having waited a year for my surgery every twinge you question. Having been in hospital with people who had aneurysm that were either leaking or burst they had horrendous headaches, aversion to light. Sinusitis in itself is very painful. If you doubt their decision insist on scan. You're perfectly in your rights to. Hope you feel better soon and hope December comes quick. The only thing that reassured me was scan showing it hadn't grown especially when they kept delaying the surgery.
