Hey i have been using IUD contraceptive it expired a week ago. is there any danger of getting pregnant

Hi there

The IUD is a copper coil and it lasts 10 years, if it’s the Mirena (hormonal coil) which lasts 5 yrs, then yes in theory you could get pregnant. Your best bet is to go to contraceptive clinic to arrange getting it removed/exchanged but have protected sex until you have been seen.
