Hi, I'm a week late with my period, did a test when my period was due ( came up 1-2 weeks pregnant) and another one today ( came up 2-3 weeks pregnant). All of the sudden I feel kind of like my period is due especially round my lower belly. Is that normal or shall I expect my period to come? thank you for any response.

Hi there

I think because you have taken two tests now which have come back positive you are most likely to be pregnant. The feeling that you may be about to start you period is totally normal and lots of women experience cramp like period pain and sometimes spotting during pregnancy, it is usually due to the hormone action on the ligaments and not anything to worry about. Perhaps you could visit your gp or a family planning clinic to talk about the cramping if you are worried or if you wanted to you could take another test with them and talk the results through?
