Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

When I fractured my shoulder December 2023 I was left with numbness down my arm done, hand and fingers. It’s called Cubital Tunnel Syndrome. I was then diagnosed with osteoporosis after a dexa scan a month or so later. Finally I’m having surgery tomorrow on the trapped nerve. It’s only day surgery but I’m terrified. Has anyone else had this done. I just keep thinking about how painful the break was and I know it’s not the same but have visions of being unable to do stuff again.

Never heard of Cubital Tunnel Syndrome but glad you're able to get it fixed. The fact that it's only day surgery means it's quite a minor op. You may have had it done by now so hope it all went well, you will soon recover and be better than ever! Best wishes. 🤗

Hi Greengen1,

This is my first time on here so I’m not sure if what I say will be helpful. I have been dealing with this for a few months. It’s also referred to as golfers elbow. I have been doing some exercises I found on YouTube that are supposed to help, but it can take several months to recover. I feel it is a little better but still hurts a lot. Hopefully this will help my elbow heal without having to have surgery. Seventeen years ago I had carpal tunnel surgery on both my wrist. It is a similar problem but affects the wrist instead of the elbow. I remember that it hurt for a little while, maybe a couple of months, but then it was fine and I haven’t had problems with it since. I hope that your surgery goes well/went well and that you recover quickly.
