It's a matter of what is the least problematic for you. If weekly tablets have fewer side effects then that would be a 'no brainer' for me. You will get used to the new routine and fit your life round it. Better than taking nothing, better than putting up with your current medication, which sounds horrible. I hope whatever you choose works well for you

Hello Nevernot

Did you get to look at the ROS website or get in touch with one of the specialist nurses on their helpline? I have alway found helpful answers when I've needed on both the website and the helpline. I used the medication list and the help line during lockdown when I had a issue having had the Zolendronic acid infusion.

The issue I had with the infusion, started with the mild flu, which one was told could happen after the first infusion, but then developed an eye problem as this was during lockdown I never got to the eye dept, inspite of two referrals. However after 6 months and help from the GP the eye problem cleared up. No one was quite sure if it was connected to having the infusion, but the Consultant Rheumatolist wasn't happy for me to continue with a second infusion and we discussed other medication. I have another medical condistion so I'm unlikely to manage any of the oral medication. I went back on to Prolia - Denosumab, 6 monthly injections, which I had been on before and this suited me better. For me I've had good results on the Denosumab with increses in bone density, however it is a medication that others on this site have had difficulties with, like most medication it does have some side effects which do effect some people.

Hope you are able to find a medication that suits you better.
