Slightly confused about hospital appts

Last week I had an osteoporosis clinic appt arrive for a Wednesday, I work every Wednesday so went online to cancel and rearrange it, letter came today saying it has been cancelled and a phone number to ring and rebook, in another envelope had an appt for a DEXA scan, something that didn't arrive with the original appt, (again I'm going to rearrange it as it's for a Wednesday)

Hi,The hospital I attend appears to work in the same way as yours.

We are given app for consultation and also for Dexa on the same Day.

The Dexa is done 20 mins before the consultation.

Why the app for consultation comes separately and before the dexa has always seemed a strange way of doing things to me also.!!

It’s odd isn’t it. I went to A&E with chest pains last year and when I got home I noticed on my MyChart that every single procedure I had done had been booked as a separate appointment. Seemed strange but it obviously worked.

Yes the Dexa is classed as a seperate appointment, I think this is to make sure that the patient arrives on time and then is able to go in turn to see the consultant after it.
