Hi Lolly,

Does not sound good, does it? I believe I am correct in thinking that your first dose of AA did not make you feel too good either, did it? If it was your GP that prescribed the AA perhaps you should return to have a chat about it and be put on something else. The next drug they try you with probably will be Risedronate which is also a Bisphosphonate. So you could possibly have the same side effects.

Hi Kaarina no it doesn't you are right in saying it was back last week BUT I had lifted heavy bag so thought it possibly could have been that yesterday was fine today can hardly hold a cup feels like inflammation Just rubbed in voltarol and will take some paracetamol but I'm wondering where it will go next.

Let's hope the discomfort goes away quickly for you. Let's also hope it does not travel somewhere else. I would try to see your GP and let him/her know what is happening when you take AA.

I was taking AA probably 4 to 6 weeks before I started getting bone pains and this was restricted to my long bones, so I cannot really comment about your symptoms.

Regarding your lumpy finger joints. I have a few of these and when they get painful, usually in winter when my hands are cold, or when I’ve been lifting too much at work.

I find FlexiseQ max strength which is for osteoarthritis according to the label, or FlexiseQ Sport, helps them. They both work for me and I cannot tell them apart. Infact I think they are probably the same.

I buy either from Boots if on offer, or Amazon as they are a bit cheaper from there.

They are still quite expensive but you only need a small amount each time, so a tube lasts ages.

Best wishes and I hope you find out whether it is the AA causing your problems.

Hi dubba thanks for that yep I spoke to osteoporosis nurse today and she confirmed it's common, as you say what else is there they are all similar in their symptoms soo I'll try to persevere good luck and thank you if only there were more positive reviews it would help somewhat but I spose if it's all OK you don't visit the forums.
