Spirometry result

Had a spirometry at GP's, he didn't tell me all the results other than I had the lung age of 78 when I'm actually 46, with mild restriction (used to smoke lightly for five years during late teens early twenties). GP gave me a weeks course of steroids and then repeated the spirometry. Results were a lung age of 55 with mild restriction. Two days after finishing steroids I'm as breathless as before the steroids, but GP said everything was okay???? What do other think please, should I go back and see him again???

Sounds like it's all the running back and forth to the Doc's that's made you breathless...! ;-)

Have a chat with the BLF Helpline, 10am-6pm Mon-Fri, on 03000 030 555. They can explain a lot better than I can, and they're better looking (is that better Carol G?)

They'll give you the questions to ask your GP so you get peace of mind.
