the only thing i can taste when i feel rough is ginger beer - so i decided to make my own
It just exploded - was like a burst waterpipe, shot right up into the air - looked really good but it now needs cleaning up!!!

Ha Ha krazylady glad to see you back on form. I thought somehow I had an affinity with you as I love ginger beer as well though not as much as the real article which sadly has to be taken so sparingly nowadays. Ginger is supposed to calm us down but missus not for blowing up the kitchen. Keep well and thank you for continuing to cheer us all up.

I remember making Ginger Beer when we where in junior school, we didnt blow the school up though!!
ginger beer eh? I remember years ago putting coffe beans in a grinder and the top shot off, was finding coffe for weeks, but the kitchen smelt nice, I had a pressure cooker and decided to cook rice pudding, the little metal cap shot off and we had rice stalegtites hanging from the ceiling, why do we do these things when it all comes in jars or cans, enjoy your ginger beer. xxx
i got this really big lump of grated ginger on the ceiling - its looking at me - laughing and winking at me - i swear its stuck up there with superglue,
the ova 'arf is convinced i do too much while he is at work and has "put stuff away" so i cant find the ruddy broom to get it down!!!!
Its like one of those flies that annoys you for days, you chase it and wack it but it thinks its a cat and uses one of its lives...............
my mission for today.... get that ginger !!!!
Oh nooooooooooo, but sorry I hate cleaning up my own messes. Just think what you would have been like if you had drunk it, would have been pogo dancing (jumping up and down all over the place). Thanks for the giggle

i rememember having a `ginger beer ` plant when i was a teenager ! Cant remember what you actually did but i remember adding water to it and eventually you could bottle it ready for drinking . The last time i was allowed to do this all the full bottles were put in the pantry. A couple of nights later there was this almighty noise that sounded like gunfire !! Yes all the glass bottles had exploded what a mess glass and ginger beer everywhere funnily enough everything to do with ginger beer making was thrown out ! I still like ginger beer but these days i stick to the safer option of buying it !! Wonder if you can still get ginger beer plants umm!! sandra
This brought back horrors from years back when my daughter was around 11yrs old, my neighbour used to make ginger beer from scratch and bottle it in the outhouse, well Manfa decided she wanted a drink gently picked up a bottle (she had always been told don't shake it) and couldn't get the top undone so put her teeth around it to give it a nudge then WHOOSE! top shot off and hit her. She was so lucky.
