Good Afternoon everyone

I hope everyone is feeling well and the weather is not causing too many problems.

I sign up to the Met Office Weather Alert and there are many Amber and yellow Alerts for most of the UK. This is set to continue through till Wednesday!

You check the details by accessing the link below:

Keep warm and dry.

Best Wishes

Jo

More from the Met Office, especially for COPD sufferers, at metoffice.gov.uk/health/you...

This includes a link to the page to sign up for the alerts.

The 'Healthy Outlook' service mentioned is only available in a few districts, as the NHS PCT for a given area has to opt in and pay for it - it seems that most do not want to :-(

Not nice out there at all, and I have to go to the vets I cannot find the heart tablets I bought for my little dog last week, must have thrown them out with all the tissues I have.

I was going to have cold pork, pickles and chips but after being on here I have changed it to faggots, chips and mushy peas.

I bought a new winter coat yesterday. I tried a gorgeous fashionable jacquard, 1920's type one on and absolutely loved it, but I opted for the practical waterproof, quilted, zip up one with fleecy hood. I suppose at least I am thinking about keeping my lungs warm and as healthy as possible.

I have a wedding on Saturday. I hope its a little cheerier than this.

Hi

It is supposed to get better by Thursday! You can aslo try a thin scarf over your mouth when you are out to stop the cold air getting in preventing any chest tightening! The coat sounds lovely - it is a shame we have to opt for practical over fashionable - i'm sure you'll be glad of it - especially if you are out in this weather!

It's dark, miserable, wet and windy here in my little corner of West Yorkshire. The rain hasn't stopped now for over 12 hours !! The run-offs from the sloping driveways of the properties on my street has formed a stream on its journey to the drains - I just hope they can cope !

I was going to go shopping today, but have decided against it. The last thing I want to do is get cold and wet !

Oh well, I suppose I'm saving money by not going ;)

As I work (self employed) I had to drive a 200 mile round trip today. I set off at 6.50 am. The weather was awful and I had to detour to avoid the worst of the floods. Coming home was easier.

I didn't get wet at all as I was in my nice dry car, thankfully.

I was up and out in it from 5am...And the stupid reflective coat they gave us as part of our work uniform was letting in water after 10 mins..So was walking round with a damp sweatshirt and a soaking wet coat ontop all day till i got home at 4pm..And i was feeling rough all day yesterday like a cold coming on so really didnt want to go in as it was,but no work no pay..

Praying i can win the lotto all day lol..
