Eat baked beans does it for me :D no way back for the lung damage the only positive is making the best of what you have in keeping healthy and active life as much as you can to get the most from what there is.

May be possible in the furture with stem cell tissue regeneration but as you know research in this area for lung health is still very much at the embryonic stage. For now we can only preserve our lung health in the usual manner of, avoiding smoke of any kind, exercising regularly, eating healthily, avoiding contact with those who may be infected with a cold of the flu virus etc etc. Exercising regularly will of course keep the respiratory system operating as best it can, in comparison, smoking passive or other will impair it. I've been wondering this too. At my last spirometry test some of my lung function had improved but my gas transfer had decreased too. They weren't overly concerned but said they would be if it dropped again when I went back in November.

Looks like I'll just have to do my best and not make it any worse!
