I may have not posted for awhile but reading comments on here and feeling like I have a lovely group of friends. I do not know what gone on with the group but for me it been a real comfort this year.
We had a year like many others. My sister law died in January from Covid. My son whilst on duty got a very bad pain in his chest . He had a split aorta type A .was in icu for 13 days in st Thomas’s. The NHS saved his life. . My husband had some bugs in his lungs that even after strong antibiotics can’t be cleared. Tomorrow I will be attending my sisters funeral. She passed away on 11 th august from cancer. Many of you have gone through tuff times. But I feel like this group is alway there for my husband and myself. Take care all . Tell the people that are dear to you that you love and care for them .

Reading your post my heart went out to you. Sadly I was in a similar situation were I lost my father, one of my brothers and my uncle within a twelve week period. It does help just to know there are people who will be there for you. We know just to have someone to listen helps. Take care.
You have had a really awful year, and yes the NHS have been brilliant. This group is also brilliant wonderful people and very supportive. I for one would be lost without this group of all the lovely people and their support and friendship. I never feel alone now and I thank each and everyone of them including those no longer on here. Bless you alyvonne. I'm so sorry for the dreadful time you and your family have had. At this moment the NHS are working on my precious sister, no-one can see her apart from her husband who is panicking and crying. We who love here cannot go in to hold her hand and whisper love to her.

Well your post just put everything into prospective. I think I am having a hard time and then I see what you are going through and tell myself to get a grip. What a horrible nightmare you are experiencing. I am so sorry for the loss of your sister. And your son is lucky to be alive, not many people survive a split aorta and I have heard it is one of the worse pains one can experience. I sincerely hope things improve for you and your husband. Thank you Caspiana. I think there has been a lot of families going through some terrible things in the last 18th months. Today our family will be together to say good bye to my sister. She had been a teacher in many schools in the villages in our area. We have had so many messages of the love people had for her. We have seen the best side of humanity. As I feel everyone on here and the support everyone gives one another. Xxx
