Ive always been fit, active, healthy however 10yrs ago diagnosed with bullous emphysema, no great symptoms, no meds required-still at stage 1, feel great.
18months ago had 2 nodules in my lung identified a cancer however turned out to contain fibrosis, pneumonia & aspergilliousus.
Made redundant late last year just after the op to remove the above to include a large middle bullous.
Great recovery, got a new job in Jan 2020 then found a new module, awaiting pathology results.
Sunday came down with West of Scotland man flu then told yesterday I'm down to a 4 day week and more drastic changes may be looming in the work place.
Even if I won the Lotto I can't disappear and go anywhere.
Moto of my story, money can't buy you health nor real happiness, we all have a cross to carry through life, there is always someone worse of who needs help.
I hope & pray we humans learn a lesson from this horrid horrific lesson in life.
Look after each other, value family & friend time, don't live beyond our means, respect each other & be greatful for what we have.
Stay safe each & everyone of us, blessings.

Hope you’ll be ok David. Good to see you and that cutie you have with you. So sweet.
I also hope we learn something from this. My family mean the world to me so I pray for them all. I’m caring for Pete and myself and we’re hanging on in there.
You take care. Do the lotto, you never know. Lol. Xxxx 😘
I think David we must at the present time take every day as it comes. Most things can be dealt with, as you have proved in your post. However your sentiments in the last few sentences hold true...Take care.
Beautiful photo of Love, The most important thing David, as you say, most here have been through all these Terrible Conditions in our Later Lung Life. We are Warriors of Strength & Stamina. Stay Safe & Well re your Results Hun. Love n Virtual Hugs. XXX C
Like you a series of events have hit my family and some friends of mine in the last few years. Life isn't easy. After watching Australia's fires and now this virus it does make us feel low. Keep counting your blessings and I wish better times for you and all of us. Keep safe and take care everyone.
Living within ones means is important as it keeps the stress controllable. So few things we have control over. We can lead simpler lives and avoid unnecessary debt.
Thank you so much for sharing your story David. I was feeling so sorry for myself tonight. I love my job at school but my physician has suggested I have at least four weeks off due to the risk of coronavirus on my damaged lungs. I’ve just learnt that painful issues in my esophagus and mouth could be a further manifestation of my Alpha 1 disease. And I heard yesterday that my son (who has a new baby and a brand new house) is losing his job in the financial sector due to the current economic climate. Reading your story really helped me put things into perspective and to realize how very blessed I am. I have a beautiful family and I’ve had a beautiful life - and I just need to take one day at a time and fill it with thankfulness.as you said, most of us on this forum are enduring difficulties in life - and reading stories like yours helps me remember that. All the very best to everyone. Beautiful pic of you and your granddaughter- and thanks again.
Seems to me Dave with that little bundle of smiling happiness in your arms you won at least a chunk of the lottery in an earlier part of your life.Keep well
You are going to be alright, a positive attitude like you have goes a long way. Hope you are alright and you and your family are doing well.. Have a lovely day and take care of yourself and your family 😊 Bernadette xx
What a rollercoaster you’ve been on in the last few years. I remember when you first posted here about the bullae in your lungs, then you got good news, a gap then bad news. (I’m blessed or cursed with a good memory). You’re young to be having such a struggle but my fingers are crossed for a happy result this time.
Many thanks for your super memory lol I'm doing just fine, just need to kick this nodule into touch, it's East Kilbride shopping centre few weeks ago 👍
