Nooooo....not over reacting. Totally agree that you need to protect her and yourself. In Japan all school are closed now. I also have a transplanted lung and the other is completely dependant on the new lung. So I completely understand. Do what you see fit as her parent. Take care. xx 🙋

Hi, I too have only one lung. I am very worried as well. I always get a chest infection with flu so i am expecting that. But the hospital are really good and I've always been looked after well. If the worst happens and I catch it I know I will be well looked after

It looks like it won't be long before schools will be closed down anyway. As a parent who has home schooled my son, I can tell you there is plenty of educational material on the web. There is no need to let her education slip. I would think that in the advent of school closures, the schools will probably set homework online anyway. This also quite normal for homework to be set and handed-in online with a lot of secondary schools nowadays anyway.

Thanks guys for your responses I have indeed now pulled her out of school and I have plenty of educational material to support her and not let her education slip .

Hi you must be really worried which is understandable, you must do what you think is the best thing for you and daughter. Don't worry what people think do what you feel is right, I would give the same advice to anyone there are lots out there that have had transplants. Good luck and keep in touch with everyone. Have a lovely day and take care of yourself and your family 😊 Bernadette xx
