Does the Dyson Fan help?

I have just purchased the new Dyson Pure Cool Me. Do others use this and have you found it helps you? I don't seem to be coughing so much since using it and just wondered if this is the normal case scenario. Be interesting to hear others views as to whether the cost is worthwhile.

Mine isn't a Dyson, But it has improved my Nights, it is a "Breathe Fresh" Table Top Purifier from Aldi. xx

I have a similar one to that but it did not stop the constant coughing like this Dyson one appears to so hopefully I bought well

Hi gingermusic, I invested in a Dyson Pure and Cool (£350) I've found it to be of little or no use, it's noisy and I've found the faster the fan speed the warmer the room gets, according to the built in temperature gauge. I've also discovered that the filter needs to be replaced on a yearly basis (£50/70) not cheap. All Dyson products come with a 30 day no quibble guarantee, after 14 days trial I'm taking it back. Joy x

I have mine set on no 6 and find the noise is fine does not bother me at all and it certainly keeps me cool enough during sleeping hours. Also since using it I have had cough free nights so must be helping me. I am surprised you paid so much when you could have got it direct from Dyson for £299 and I can buy a filter for around £15. Are you in the UK? If so wondering if we are talking the same fan

I think the one I bought is bigger. It’s the big circular one, remote controlled. Maybe I bought a dud, not happy with it at all. Joy.

Yes maybe yours is a bigger one shame it did not work for you

We bought the Dyson pure fan about 3 years ago, very expensive, but I wouldn't be without it. Download the app that connects to the fan and you can see the air quality. Enjoy it x x x

Mentioned this in another thread, but I have severe asthma and got mine in 2016 and it has made a big difference, I used to often wake up in the summer nights feeling breathless but since I got the Dyson it never happens. It filters out pollen, dust, pollution etc all the triggers for me. It recently broke and Dyson fixed it for £99, they are a bit pricey but definitely worth it in my opinion considering the air quality in most places isn't great and I use it every day.
