Can anyone help please?

I use oxygen overnight every night, supplied by a condensing machine which plugs into the electric, + back up cylinder. I also have a small condenser on wheels but its very heavy & needs a transformer for electric which comes in an attache case & is also heavy + have a back up cylinder with that.

I want to go stay with my son who lives in Bulgaria so will obviously need a condensor to use whilst I'm there. I was told by the O/seas Health Care team to contact the Bulgarian authorities & they would supply what I need throught the EHIC card for free. I have phoned them, left messages twice, I have also sent them two emails to no avail. My son's Bulgarian girlfriend managed to get through to them & was told that I need to hire a machine through a private company. She has been to a company told them I need the machine & my perscription is 1 Litre per minute x 8 hours a night. They don't understand this & have said they need the working pressure ie the psi or bar pressure. they have also asked if my machine is 35 - 40db & concentration of oxygen - 95. Now I have spoken to BOC my supplier, my oxygen nurse, the O/seas Health Care Team & the British Lung Foundation, none of whom can tell me what this means......so can any of you please? I don't want to book my flights until I know for sure that I will have oxygen to use whilst I'm there. BOC have told me I can't take my independant out of the country!!

I’m in oxygen 24/7 and have found when travelling abroad it’s easier to hire a concentrator from here and table it with me. Make sure you take at least 2 batteries for it so you can use one and charge one. That way there’s no way of any misunderstanding. Good luck x

Hi Wendy thanks for coming back to me, as I explained to Gingermusic, I find the independant condensors very heavy & as I need assistance at the airport & travel by myself, finding one in Bulgaria would make life so much easier. Take care
