H I am sorry to hear this and you must be frantic with worry. I am sorry that I can't answer your questions but I am sure someone will be along soon who can. You might also wish to put your post in the below site who should be able to advise as well. I hope your poor husband feels a bit better soon. x

Where’s there’s life there’s hope. I don’t know the answer to your question but try to look on the bright side. Hopefully just a blip or an infection.

Has he had any new medication in the last few days, if so it may be a side effect. There are so many reasons for a sudden shortness of breath. I have done a lot of research into lung cancer, having a personal vested interest. Although some cancers can grow quickly I very much doubt that they grow so quickly as to cause this in such a short time frame. If he has been responding to treatment it makes it all the more unlikely. More likely it would be that he has picked up an infection of some sort, there are a lot of nasty bugs around at the moment.

If, and I mean a big IF, he was near the end then his Oncologist would have known and you would have been briefed to that affect.

He is in the best place to be at the moment. Please try not to worry too much, it might make you ill yourself and your husband will be relying on you as his carer, you will need your strength. Best wishes to you both.

A friend of mine experienced this, they drained off about two litres of fluid and the breathing was greatly eased. You must be very worried, I hope your husband feels more comfortable soon.

Hello there, try not to worry to much, easier said than done i know.It is very unusual for it to be that bad at such an early stage.Having lived with it fo over 12 yrs.

It is possible he has himself panicked, which is easy to do when breathing is difficult.

Once he has settled life will be easier for you both, and you will wonder why you were

so worried.I have holes all over my lungs, but l am pushing for another 12yrs. ???

You can text me if you need some more assistance on 07939915809.

LUCK

Hi,

Yes I get it all the time especially if I've just carried something not that heavy or when I bend down.

Take heart it may not be anything out of the ordinary, just part of the overall ailment. It can be frightening until you get used to it, it can take hours to get back to normal "rest" position. Sit him down to rest a while.
