Hey all, I've been looking on a U.S. health newsletter at a product they are selling called NutriO2 - it claims to be able to get more oxygen into your body. Nice thought for those of us who have low sats. These newsletters are usually selling stuff but also contain a lot of useful information. I look at a lot of supplements and take several but before I even consider purchasing anything, i do a separate google search to research it further including consumer reviews. I did so for this product and this is what I came up with:
Scroll down to a very long warning by a registered nurse who says the product contains no oxygen, merely food grade hydrogen peroxide which supposedly enables the body to make oxygen, if Ive read her piece correctly. She suggests a little experiment which is pretty persuasive to show how dangerous it could be to your internal tissues.
Since the merits or otherwise of hydrogen peroxide comes up on here quite frequently, I thought I'd post this warning.

Wow. I’ve never heard of it but thanks for the heads up. You would have thought if they couldn’t back up their claims Amazon would have taken it off their site.
Yes, that is a bit contradictory, but that's capitalism for you! There have been discussions here about the (de)merits of hydrogen peroxide for treating copd.
You would like to hope that buying off a site like Amazon would offer you a bit of protection from shoddy deals. But obviously not. And just the word ‘hydrogen peroxide’ is enough to put me off. 😱😱
