in 2015 i was having exaberations virtually all year: then in nov of that year my doc put me on 250mg tabs of Azithromycin ,1 tab three times per week , to me they were magic ,never had no problems until the last couple of months, i don`t really want to go back on the steroids, so i was wondering if i used my nebuliser two or three times a day would that be ok?i am sure some one out there has had the same problem.

I think you should go back to your docs for advice on this. Some folks have prophilactic antibiotics 1 each day and not always Azith. I can understand your reluctance to take more steroids. Your doc may have a solution which suits you better and nebulising may be part of that solution. It's not something we could advise you to do without seeing your doc.

Call her and tell her you will come bearing gifts! A small box of chocolates just might do the trick!!

I would ask your GP to put you on one a day of Azithromycin. I was put on them one a day after having infection after infection in Febuaray and haven't had an infection.. Since being put on them and I also take immune suppressants. For my arthritis.

Hi dont let receptionist push you around. Ring up and ask to speak to the doctor or for him to ring you back. Then you can talk it through with him without leaving the house. I have a nebuliser at home use it mostly 2 times a day. I do use it more if i need it. Better to talk to gp forst. Best wislhes.

Hi, after a year of the azithromycin treatment I have had to stop it and the last wonderful year of near normality has come to an end. I've been off it now for three weeks and it seems like I am now slowly returning to the way I was before, coughing starts about 3 in the afternoon, fortunately I am still getting a full nights sleep. Am now back to the physio exercises before bed to clear the lungs this helps a great deal and always use the two puffers as prescribed. Don't know how things will develop but go back to see the bronchial doctor in a couple of months - still hoping for that miracle cure. Do the exercises!

They finally put me on Daliresp and NAC and I haven't had one in almost 17 months. The Daliresp is a prescription but NAC is over the counter.
