Shocking tactics that people claiming PIP should know about
It seems I was one of the lucky ones 02, having just come through the DLA to PIP change over. I got a home visit assessment without even requesting one and have also come out the other side of it all financially better off.
I've got to say it was all pretty stressful and I'm glad its behind me now.
I think its disgusting that people are being treated in the way described in your post but not to surprised about it either. It seems money has to be saved from those who can least afford it and also find it hard to contest any decision that went against them. Not quite sure how the people who dreamed up this way of saving money can sleep at night.

Thank you for this 02. Nothing seems to suprise me how shabby the sick and disabled are treated by DWP, Atos and Capita. Thanks for drawing attention also to DNS - I didn't know about them.

Thank you. I really worry for the future. My PIP runs out next year, and I am dreading having to go through it all again.
Good Article.
I just got my PIP enhanced on both parts. To be honest my PIP claim went fairly smoothly and the came to my home to do it, the assessor was a nurse from a heart ward so was aware of my many conditions.
However my ESA back in 2012 took 13 months and they used the "We have not got your forms lost in post etc." We cannot pay you as you have not paid NI in the last 24 months. I had to fight HMRC to prove I had! Then they reject me so I go down the tribunal route they found in my favour in less than 10 minutes with a complaint to DWP for not taking my conditions into account at all.
