High Carbon Dioxide

I had what sounds like the same thing, however there may be another answer by using a bipap machine. It has cleared all of my high carbon dioxide problems. Yes...it has been a challenge learning to sleep with BUT well worth it. It has been about 5 months now and I still have some mask experiments to work out. God bless. John

Does a NIV machine work the same

I am not sure. I actually use a machine called a Trilogy machine and I use it in bipap mode. It blows air into my lungs when I breathe in to make sure all the carbon dioxide is removed. I have had my co2 tested and each time it was normal after going on the machine. It has been a life saver for me.

I looked up NIV machine on google and that is the machine I am using.

Okay thanks very useful my co2 is high but I have oxegen running through mine which doesn't help

Respiratory nurses have said to try it without the oxygen
