Confound these blasted bottles

I'm struggling with the top

'Child proof' it says upon it

That caught me on the hop.

Both my 'childs' are long gone now

And I've a arthritic hand

I really need those tablets

Do they not understand?

It's now becoming clear to me

If I want to shift this lid

I'll have to put my coat on

And go and find a kid!

:-o

Bottles and jars with 'child proof' tops are no laughing matter when you can't get the d*** things to budge, but - I'm laughing 😄😄😄😄

I have the same problem even blister packs but my problem is caused by pins and needles in my hands. Last week I took the old lady shopping and she pops them for me we are sat in the car she's piping the pill out and a copper walks past sees the old lady poping these pills I did tell him at 75 she was a bit old to be a dealer 😆

Aren't we a clever bunch! So many poets amongst us. Both my thumb joints are painful, jars, lids, drive me mad. Why is everything so difficult? I am going to drop a cup of tea soon, its getting heavier!

How to remove lids on jars!

Well this is how I do it. If you have a kitchen scissors, as it has to be strong and rigid, if you use a spoon or knife it will just bend. Place it under rim of lid and gently lift until it pops, letting the air out releases the lid!

Thanks for that tip, I will try it next time. I have a gadget for lids but it doesn't work on some shapes.

Ah howling! So many funny posts here! Glad I'm not the only one - blister packs with tiny tablets in, I hate. I end up with powder. And I have cried with frustration over bleach bottles before. Now I get a friend to loosen everything for me xpiggix

Wonderful...you are as a breath of Spring sunshine Don.

Thankyou.

Making a hole in the top of a jar will release the vacuum. Bleach bottles or anything with squeeze and turn tops are impossible. I have to wait until somebody comes round. The blister packs of pills are difficult and painful to open.
