Thanks for the info Mr.Stone

I am 62 and female around the same height at you. My best peak and flow is 350 so those figures look good to me. x

I am the same age as you and about 5'7". I am doing well at 200 but often I am about 150. I have asthma and Copd. I guess you are doing good.

I think this is quite a normal reading. If I have a bad chest infection my peak flow tends to struggle to make 300 My daughter has been told in the past below 200 she should be in hospital I suppose everyone can have different readings. I know how I feel

When under the weather and do check

Hi Dave

Using Stone's link numbers, you're half way - so *ideal* at 73 5'9 male would be 500. BUT there is a tolerance of +/- 60 'within the normal range' or as it says on the chart 'standard deviation'. So 440 would be low normal for you.. and appears you get there on a good day.

Having said that, within limits, the number itself for asthmatics isn't that important - it's the trend against YOUR own norm to predict an attack and take steps to avoid, not how you do against the statistical norm.

Best wishes

I am about same age and height. My PF never varies from 450 -500. I don't have asthma but Bronchiectasis. Does your PF go down after exercise? I was told I had asthma for years but I didn't believe them. After CT scan diagnosed as bronchiectasis. Hope this helisting.

Sorry for last sentence. Should be 'hope this is helpful'. NB- with asthma PF goes down after excrrcise.
