TOP HEALTH CARE SPENDING PRIORITIES

I saw in the " I " newspaper today a list of NHS spending priorities that were preferred in a survey of the public.

First was cancer, followed by preventative health care, heart disease, mental health, dementia care, stroke, pregnancy and child care, rare/genetic diseases, orthopaedics, and obesity.

(Source....BENENDEN )

So nobody has lungs then? Unless we come under preventative health care.

The BLF says 1 in 5 people in the UK are affected by lung disease.

I reckon all the conditions mentioned have been in the news lately and have a high profile. I can't remember the last time I heard anything about lungs in the media, apart from the good news about gene therapy for CFers. Very strange. Did it say how many folks and where the survey was done? If they had done the survey in winter I wonder if lung disease may have come a little highter.
