Morning world its a wonderful place, just one problem this end I have woke up after an awful night of tossing and turning and pains in the upper back which I do not like but can expect, but worst of all I have lost my sparkle, I had it when I went to bed but over night its just gone. So I have had to start the day with a few pain relief pills and see how they help which I am sure they will and I will be fine soon. Anyway cold, dry and misty here this morning and just to cheer me up they say we are in for heavy rain, oh well I was not planning on going anywhere so it can rain on my parade I don't care.
Did you hear about this duck yes duck that went into a pub and said to the landlord a pint and a cheese sandwich please, the landlord said "Your a duck" nothing wrong with your eyesight mate said the duck, and you can talk said the landlord, and your hearing is fine as well now what about that pint said the duck. "What are you doing around here than" he asked the duck. "I am working over at the construction site the one with all those new houses" he replied then sat and ate his sandwich and drank his pint. This was the same for several days. Then the owner of the circus that was in town came into the pub and the landlord told him about the talking duck, and the circus chap said to tell the duck to pop over for a chat.
That lunch time when the duck came in for his pint and sandwich the landlord told him all about the circus, " The circus" said the duck" Yes said the landlord the money will be good. You mean the place over there with the great big canvas tent said the duck, that's the place said the landlord the owner was really interested to see you for a job.
Are you serious what the hell would a circus want with a plasterer said the duck.
Right you happy lot if you find my sparkle there is a small reward for its return, you will know its mine its bright and cheery with a big smile, but not to worry as I have a spare in the meantime, mind you its a bit worn as its been used a lot over the years.

Love the joke Fred. Aww so sorry you've lost your sparkle, pain does that to you doesn't it. Lets hope your painkillers kick in soon and it will bring your smile back.
It's very wet, dull and overcast here, this morning and rain for us too today.

Of course you can, but be aware I am in the wardrobe trying to get the door at the back open, did you lock it or something yesterday when you went through Hope the weather cheers up some what for you over the weekend or else it will be a replay of you singing in the rain, and I am not sure whether Wales is ready for that. Just got back that's a good idea as I have had a good look around and every where is closed till Tuesday even the hotels so if we are all staying over we will have to build an Igloo but will not be able to build a fire,so you better wear an extra pair of socks, lol xxx

Haven't had a cup of tea yet but I have got a feeling that it's going to be a great day.
It has started off sunny so I'm ready to get the washing on the line.
My little one is out of hospital after a little op on Wednesday. She came out late Thursday and insisted on going to her interview yesterday for an engineering career - tough little thing.
So all is well here in North Yorkshire.
Maybe you should go back to bed and have a look for your sparkle?

Well that has given me a bit of sparkle back hearing from you again its been a while there shipmate, you really do sound as if you have some sparkle to spare thats great, and as for that daughter of yours she is a tough cookie and so pleased she is still keen on the engineering side of life, wish her the best of luck at the interview. Now than Kracker about this massage, its a bit of a hike up to you so it looks like it the magic wardrobe that Lyn and I use to escape to the other side so see you in about ten minutes. Really good to hear you or read you sounding so good, get that washing dry then you can get the ironing on the go you lucky lady you .

Hope you feel better soon Fred. Im sure just a couple of degrees warmer would make a lot of difference to us all. Monday may be better, and on Monday the girls will be dancing around the maypole in our town market place. Hope to get down there and maybe take a picture for you!
tonys got a hospital appointment this morning, its a hearing check but a few years ago he had basal cell carcinoma in his ear canal so there may be complications. Hears hoping, no pun intended!

Ha, it's a little of both Fred. I'm feeling better for some French sunshine today, even stood in the pool for five minutes (on the top step just above ankles). Hopefully nice tomorrow too & the pool will warm up before I leave next Friday.

Cheers your right it does slip at times it did last month about the same time its when the mind plays tricks prior to the time I go into hospital I do not know why as its 11 days before I have the op, funny old world. xxx
Your right Fred the mind is a powerful thing, though i think its only natural for us to worry at times, more for our loved ones than ourselves. I am sure you will sail through your hospital treatment. xx

I think that the footsteps are actually sparkly sand, but I could be wrong, and it does look a bit like snow. It comes from a poem called Footsteps in the Sand by Mary Stevenson which I copied below for you.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
The sparkle will return because as you know we have to keep it shining bright, it must have broke up into bits as I am finding some as the morning progresses so by lunch should have it all back. Oh huff your poor spuds have also lost their sparkle yes the wind can be painful even to plants lol Thick mist here with heavy rain on its way, I think all the sparkles that have been sent have just arrived as honest the pain has just seemed to ease all of a sudden but I am not moving yet just in case. I will happily send you some of my sparkle Fred as you deserve it for keeping us all going on here. Lots of smiles and laughter is the order of the day and you manage that every day which is amazing. Pain is a nasty thing and takes its toll but you will bounce back when the pills kick in I am sure.

Yes had a lovely weekend with the family, just came back from watchin the pacquio vs mayweather fight in town, the crowd was great...shame pacquio lost...but great to be part of it...something special about having a whole country behind you... take care xxx
