Woohoo! Brilliant! And great to hear those tunes again! Fair play Tony, you do fantastically - on the occasions I've needed oxygen I can hardly get out of bed so I'm full of admiration for what you do

Thanks Fern, this is what I get up to when exercising so I thought why not put it on a video and give the Healthunlockeders a laugh.

Mind you I wasn't laughing while making it as I was to busy trying to breath so I didn't have to stop.

I used my home concentrator for oxygen on full throttle '4 to 5 liters' which was just enough but the hose did restrict my dance moves. Ha Ha.

frose in reply to dall05

Rubbish! I could see you've still got the moves and were itching to go wild with the dancing!

dall05 profile image
dall05 in reply to frose

I could have cut loose but it would have been a much shorter video for sure and probably ended with a lot of blue flashing lights and a lesson on how to use a defibrillator thrown in :)

Haha don't do it!!!

excellent - I have saved to faves so I can follow it - thank you Tony :)

Thanks eye's, I'm glad you enjoyed my first and probably last attempt at an exercise video. Mind you it could go viral and make me a fortune but I won't hold my breath eh' :)

Good stuff Tony! Thanks. Was able to do some of those while sitting down. Maybe try some standing up tomorrow. I'll save it to favourites. Yeah, good tunes.

Thought you had an infection and were on the abs etc., so take care my friend. Don't want anything happening to you!

Thanks Sara, your right I am on abs and raised steroids and my breathing isn't so good but if I sit around my lungs seem to clog up so I have to remain active. Ok maybe making this video wasn't the best timing but I do believe that exercise does me more good along side the pills.

Great to see your giving the video a try out, have fun with it but stop when and if you need to. Hark at me, giving out advice when I'm the worst listening to it.

No wonder I feel energised, I'm on 30 mg prednisolone for a week, see Doc and start the taper back tomorrow.

Thanks for subscribing to my channel huff, as usual the video was a bit of fun with a message that exercise is good for us at whatever level.

The next video might include my feet :) instead of the cushion my phone camera was resting on.

What a cool role model you are Tony. Congrats on a very useful demo for the many new members who are asking what exercise they can do. And for all of us.

How often do you do your workouts?

(Nice tracks but no "Tainted Love", best ever Northern soul.)

dall05 profile image
dall05 in reply to O2Trees

Hi 02, There are loads of exercise video's out there but I think you'll agree none like mine. Ha Ha.

I go to the follow up exercise class to PR called fit to breath once a week, I'm very lucky as its only a mile from where I live so I have no excuse not to show.

At the moment we have about 20 regulars who all vary on their abilities but everyone does what they can and that's what its all about. These exercises on the video are some of the things we get up to so It seemed a good idea to share them with the Healthunlockeders so everyone can have a go.

I tend to do 2 or three sessions a week but it varies on the weather and whether I can get outside or not.

I only know the soft cell version of tainted love which used to be played a lot at the nightclubs back in the 80s when I was a wanna be Travolta. :) .I'll you tube the original and have a listen, its probably the best as they normally are.

Good for you Tony, you're such a trooper and as others have said, an inspiration.

I do my PR workout at home. The follow-up sessions are at the gym which is very cramped and its full of sweaty body builders who breath all over you and don't use the sanitizer - all makes me too nervous to relax.

Soft Cell, yes brilliant :) :) :)

Tony,

Great video! You should definitely make more.what an Inspiration for the newbies.

Show them what can be done. You are in

great shape and your posture is excellent. I will definitely follow it.

Hi Ruby, I guess I have to look after myself and stay in some sort of shape just in case the transplant team call me in, hence the exercise routine and making of this video.

If I can inspire a few people to give the exercise route a go then that will be great or at least give them a bit of a laugh eh' :) . either way its good for us yeh'.

I've upped the amount of exercise at the moment to help shift the Christmas fat off my belly and get me fit for the coming spring/summer so watch out for some more Dall style videos coming your way. :)

dall05 profile image
dall05 in reply to chopsticks

You gotta start somewhere so find them dumbells, dust em' off, then click the link and follow my lead, also if you click captions at the bottom of the video you'll get the full Dall experience. Ha Ha.

No headaches flibberti but a little head spinning and burning across the chest but that's quite normal when your oxygen sats are around the 80 mark. It soon goes when I stop and as they love to say no pain no gain.

I only new the soft cell version of tainted love so I've just listened to the Gloria Jones version and agree its better.

Hi Tony, what an inspiration you are. If you ever plan on selling copies on disc Id love to be your first customer. Well done, xxx

I've gotta start somewhere but it could be a while before I reach my millionth customer eh'. As Del boy would say this time next year :) .

Glad I've inspired you xxx

wow you are amazing - well done - I felt exhausted just watching you but then I get exhausted just standing up - however- I think you might just have inspired me to try some of your exercises - thank you - and keep up the good work - may the breathe be with you xx

dall05 profile image
dall05 in reply to undine

If you work at it undine, the only way is up. As you may have gathered by now I feel exercise is the only real way to improve our situations, along side the good old pills that we all love to take. :)

It all keeps us from the 'Dark side' , may the breathe be with you to young undine.

Tony xx

Very well done Tony! Would love to have stayed longer with you on the dance floor but I only lasted a couple of minutes :D

dall05 profile image
dall05 in reply to

That's a shame lovelight, mind you if you had lasted the distance we may have burned a hole in that dance floor. :)

Maybe in the next video we'll have a bit of disco inferno yeh' so we can 'burn baby burn' Ha Ha.

Hi Tony great video as you know I'm best in water and do aqua fit and most of the exercises you do I do in water. What made me laugh was the blue band we also use these in water and one night mine snapped and it hit the guy in front of me he saw the funny side.

At the moment I'm not doing much I have a chest infection and I'm part way through my PR course if I get to finish it but I'm going for my spine block next month and will get back to the pool you have inspired me keep up the good work

dall05 profile image
dall05 in reply to onamission

Hi onamission, didn't know the Blue stretchy thing could be so dangerous, could have had the poor guy's eye out or something far worse below the belt if you know what I mean. :) .

I'm on the raised steroids and antibiotics also so I should really be resting more but I was feeling good enough so I gave the video a go for something to do.

Good luck with the spine block, I had something like that when they removed that abscess from my bum, oucha!!! happy days eh'. The spinal block didn't hurt a bit though you'll be pleased to know.

Its great to see so many have enjoyed my little video. :)

onamission profile image
onamission in reply to dall05

The guy I hit bless him he does get some stick from us we all have a good laugh in the water it makes exercise more entreating.

I have these spine blocks about 2-3 times a year I'm like Linford Christy on speed after bloody fantastic

dall05 profile image
dall05 in reply to onamission

Could you book me in for one of those spine blocks please they sound amazing. :) . My next video might last a few hours after one of those things Ha Ha.

That pool exercise sounds like a lot of fun OaM, and that always helps ease the pain when exercising I find.

Hi Tony, Excellent Video you give others so much pleasure just doing what you do, To think what you have been through on your journey to here has been remarkable and for you to share it with it is an inspiration to who you are, I am still waiting on tests to be carried, Tony you are LEGEND. MC

dall05 profile image
dall05 in reply to mattcass

Thanks MC, your right it has been a bit of an interesting journey over the last 4 years and I realise how lucky I am to still be here and in such good shape. It seems all the hard work is keeping things at bay so its a no brainer, I have to keep doing what I'm doing.

I'm glad you enjoyed my little video, It gave me something to do on a cold winters day when exercise outside is a little more risky on the lungs.

I hope they get the tests done soon MC and then you'll know where your at and the best way forward.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you MC and I'm not alone with that, there are many healthunlockeders doing the same for you as I'm sure your aware.

Tony the video legend :) .

For some reason you've just got the first line of what I wrote !

I have just started rehab classes myself my 2nd was today , 30 seconds of each circuit and am SOB ! There's you with oxygen and doing 11 mins exercise without a rest I certainly take my hat of to you Dall 05 , I need to save you video to my favorites to watch again . I look forward to your follow up. No I haven't tried the work out yet hopefully by the time I complete my rehab I'll be able to ....

Computers eh' Mizzymac, Its weird when a part of a post disappears, wonder where it went. :) . Your doing the right thing with PR, it will set you up and improve your quality of life if you stick with it and continue to exercise afterwards. The fitter you become the less your lungs have to work so you'll soon be making your own video and putting me to shame. :)

Tony

Thank you. I have exercised with your video almost every day. I couldn't find any exercise videos I could do, they were either too hard or they were too easy. Your video gets my heart rate up, and has me breathing a little harder. I think when I have got more used to it, I will try and go through it twice with out stopping, but that's awhile off.

dall05 profile image
dall05 in reply to rmfields

Hi rmf, these are just a few of the exercises they give us to do at fit to breath classes, the follow on from PR.

I've just posted another vid which lasts 15 mins so you can give that a try if you like. :)
