I am still trying to get them to add up? Funny thing is some data is missing and it was the time of a FOI purge when they said they were vexatious?

in reply to Offcut

I would love to know the DWP definition of vexatious, I bet its not in any dictionary.

They had a case were well known benefit activist did FOI request to see how many claimants had died before their claim was agreed or assessed? DWP refused on the grounds that he had incited others to make the same or similar claim under FOI Act for the sole reason to waste DWP Time. It went to high court and it was found in his favour as his request was in fact 2 weeks before he mentioned in his Blog that this is what he had done. It also came out that there was only 6 other request for similar information so it was hardly a campaign. What happened after that was the DWP claimed that the only information that has not been completed to date was the information he requested? I think the request still stands with a time to complete from the courts.

It was announced on the BBC that there are 700,000 people still waiting to be assessed for ESA claims!

Hi Offcut, well read some of your link it was quite intriguing to say the least. You need a maths degree or law degree to work it out. First off it seems only just over 6% of claimants actually got this benefit. That's a very small amount, and the suggestion appears to be that a larger proportion with drew claims for what the government construe as unfounded claims or Have I misconstrued the report too!!!!!!!!!!!!
