Just finished a rather excellent Jo Nesbo ( Police) and looking forward to starting a new Stuart MacBride(when the wife's done with it).I can,t seem to get on with the Kobo she got me and still prefer a "real" book. What,s your favourite book?D.

A very popular tome,I think my favourite book of all is probably 1984 as it had such a profound affect on me,as did Animal Farm.

Hi Farmer. I am reading "Dinosaur Feather" at the moment by Sissel-Jo Gazan. It's very convoluted but full of intrigue and mystery. Unusually I haven't guessed the killer yet. My favourite book is "The Greek Myths" by Robin Waterfield. I read anything and everything, even the labels on sauce bottles. lol

Just finished Stuart Mcbrides book, preferred his previous.James Patterson is unbeatable,Love thrillers,Mark Billingham and Linwood Barclay are also excellent.Love books. When I first heard I had IPF with a life expectancy of 3 years,I said oh what about all those books I won't be able to read, stupid me.A book is good but a tablet is wonderful for holidays, and you can often get free downloads.Sooki.

I love Jo Nesbo books, you should get a Kindle, it changes your reading life, I didn't think I'd like it because I love books. But so glad I carried on trying wouldn't be without it. Phil Rickman is good writer.I'll look through my kindle library and send you some good ones.

Wife got me a Kobo which I assume is the cheap version of Kindle just can,t seem to get on with it.Last time I was in hospital I asked her to bring it in and she could,nt find it so I took that as an omen.D.

Love to read, fiction, non-fiction, travel writing, biographies etc. Having never read a crime novel in my life, I came across Henning Mankell and his inspector Wallander series in 2009. Since then I've been completely addicted to Scandinavian crime fiction. Of all the writers Jo Nesbo is my absolute favourite and if you've only read one of his books then you have so many treats ahead to look forward to. I'm sure they have all the Harry Hole series at your local library. BTW, a new Wallander series started on BBC 4 last Saturday night. Check it out this week.

I'm reading Hologram for a King at the moment, very good, dryly funny.

I was recently given a few very well written thriller by Canadian Linwood Barclay and I can recommend them. Peeg

Oh and my fave: Wolf Hall and Bring Up The Bodies by Hilary Mantel - the 1st one A Place of Greater Safety I read so long ago I've forgotten it so it's on my to-read list
