Respiratory Nurse.

Hi all. Just to thank everyone for posting about my Husbands oxygen. I had a text back this morning from the Respiratory Nurse. She said to increase the oxygen while he has an infection. It wasn't an awful lot of information but we are following what the hospital had him on. Anyway many thanks again. I had some really good information from you all. He doesn't seem to be coughing up so much now so it look like it is getting under control.

That's good news Mavary, at least you will feel more confident now about the oxy and your worries have lessened,. Great that hubby seems to be improving at last, hopefully he will be well very soon. Libby x

Hi Libby. Thanks I do feel a bit better about it.

I have found it very helpful here with really nice people reaching out with help and support as they can. Hope the infection is under control soon and a speedy recovery.

Hi Tinman. He's still not too good but is not coughing up so much. Yes the site is very helpful. It's sometimes better to get the knowledge from those who have experienced it.

Hi Puff. My husband says he feels better this morning so keep you fingers crossed. The nurse really left it to our judgement. I've asked her to find out what the scan was like which he had weeks ago. We haven't heard a thing. So lets see. You take care and thanks for your post. Mavis. X

Hope that your husband is improving and you are ok, with love TAD xx

Hi Tad. Thanks for your post. My Husband is better than he was but his oxygen levels are not good. They are not too bad at rest but as soon as he moves it goes down to about 85. I think we may have to put it up if only for a while. I'm ok. Had a bit of a bad throaty cold for a couple of days but better today. I took my Husband for dinner today by the sea. He only had to cross the road but that was enough for him. Anyway nice to hear from you take care. Mavis. X

Hi Heather. My Husbands looking better but I'm not happy with his oxygen levels. They are still too low. They only go up to the 90s if he keeps it on all the time. I think I will be doing some ringing today. My cold seems better today. I'm on long term anti bio tics and I think that helps. I have a kidney stone that keeps giving me water infections. I have just a slight cough. Usually it goes to my asthma if I get colds. So that's one good thing. I had my worst night ever last night. I couldn't drop off till gone 5.30am. I had a couple of glasses of wine last night so couldn't take my sleeping tablet. I don't normally drink but I cleaned out the fridge and it had been there for a long time. Only a miniature bottle but about two 100 ml glasses. I won't be doing that again. I usually find if I don't go off by about 2.00 I take my tablet. I didn't get up till 9.45am but am still tired. Enough of us . How are you

Hi Heather. Not quite sure which reply you are referring to. Was it about my husbands oxygen level being low and a glass of wine. If so then No! You sound as bad as me. I never know if I am doing things right. It is getting easier. I still lose posts and don't have a clue where they go. X
