Using a digital BP monitor with AF

For some time we have had a digital heart monitor,and found it very useful. Now a nurse has told me that it is no use for anyone with AF.and could give inaccurate measurements

FWiW, my wife has paroxysmal BP and she monitors her BP with an OMRON devise.

A further more recent study from Sweden:

The report suggests that pulse pressure (the difference between the two pressures) increases when AF ceases. There is an interesting comment on whether BP treatment for those with AF needs to be different from those without AF. FWiW, my wife's cardiologist is a great believer in getting BP as low as possible
