Sinus Bradycardia

I have known for a while that there was something not right (heart rate lower than 60 most days). Had 2 separate 24 hour monitor from doctors- both occasions they said they were fine. Yesterday my heart rate went down to 44 (SPo2 was at 94) so called NHS 111. They sent me to local hospital, had an ECG and confirmed I have Sinus Bradycardia so am finally getting referral to cardiology.

Main symptom for me - tingling/ fluttering sensation with heart (I can always tell when it beats really slowly). I’m relatively active but certainly not an athlete. I’ve had some other symptoms but not all the time - tiredness/ headaches/ breathlessness.

Sometimes when I exercise (light weight training) my heart rate often goes to around 120 then simply refuses to go any higher, in fact sometimes when I know I’m pushing it a little too much my heart rate will actually come down a little. Might sound strange but it is as if my heart is saying “bugger that I’m knackered so I’m not going to work as hard”.

Question please - should I just carry on as normal or should I rest more until I see a Cardiologist?

I was told to work around my target heart rate and listen to my body.
