3 stents fitted nearly 2 yrs ago. After a year of exhaustion I was doing well until a few days ago. I got mild discomfort in my chest at first - got worse and then went into my back. It lasted for about 5 hrs until I took hot brandy with water and sugar. The thought of going to A& E in the night time filled me with dread! The next day I was weak and stayed in bed. Two days later I’m feeling more normal. My question is was it an angina attack - anyone have the same? I expect I should inform my gp but she will send me up to the hospital. Last time there I waited 22 hrs for a cardiologist!

it really looks as if you want a diagnosis - which of course we can’t do.
I can understand your concerns about going to A&E but sometimes we have to "bite the bullet" to get the help we need - have you tried calling 111? They can offer alternatives (like an emergency gp visit) and advise you over the phone.
Meanwhile, although alcohol (brandy) might feel good it narrows your arteries which is unhelpful if you have angina or constricted arteries. You really should contact your GP, who might prescribe something to help you with these episodes and referral to cardiology for re-assessment.
Good morning,, can you speak to your cardiologist that did the stents for you? I had CABG last year and although signed off he told me that if I experience any heart related issues within the next 5 years to call or email his secretary directly. You may be able to do something similar. Hope you can get it sorted.
