Hi Shoshov

I have to go to hospital when my vasospastic angina becomes unstable too.

I am treated with an IV infusion of GTN and IV morphine via a patient controlled analgesia system. This after about a day or so settles my chest pain down. Then it takes a day or so for me to wean off the GTN

I hate the waits in A&E for a bed in CCU too. I once had to wait 11 hours for a bed 😱

Hopefully the IV GTN will help with your chest pain quickly and you can feel more at ease with less pain soon .

thanks milkfairy. that’s me in a bed at last. not as bad as your wait. only 7 hrs 🤣. got here at 1 o’clock and the nurse said my bed had been ready from 8 oclock. you couldn’t write it. pains easing at last so hopefully get some sleep before the breakfast comes round. nite nite❤️

You have my sympathy. I was in A&E a month ago. It was seven hours before I got a bed in the assessment ward

Although I felt ill a bed compared to a trolley lifts your spirits a few percentage point. Hope you get a bed and some sleep before not too long.

Firstly I hope you are feeling in less pain now and more relaxed.

I know it does not help you but I still do not understand that A/E can’t give you an infusion straight away ,we are constantly told that what we have is rare and profound but still no acceptable triage in place by the medics .Swift intervention with GTN infusion should be standard on admission reducing the risk of heart damage .

The less your body is in trauma the more likely the spasms will reduce.

And yes I have had Stemis MI caused by spasms and heart damage too ,once after being discharged from A/E and waiting for my lift in reception !

I wish you well

oh dear that’s no so good. i couldn’t agree more about gtn. hopefully when i see the cardiologist later he’ll organise something ❤️

Shoshov have they not started your IV GTN?

I have a wriiten admission plan to guide the staff how to treat me.

I agree with Blaser if you have unstable angina it needs treating promptly

We are not that rare either just overlooked!

I hope you are seen by a knowledgeable Cardiologist soon

Hard to think that this has happened after always leading a very Healthy life and eating well and only the occasional wine etc

But it is what it is and in 8 Weeks I’ll be on that plane to Florida the beach is beckoning

Xx

Hope you’re feeling better today

I’m

Still in hosp ecg was ok echo was fine then the stress test that was booked as an urgent referral as an outpatient didn’t happen .porter took me down yesterday from ward , sat outside and woman came out and told me it couldn’t be fine because I was an inpatient and it’s different booking system . I was sat there right outside !!!!! Back in ward staff were fuming so I got a bed in cardio ward and top of list for cardiologist today .. then as I had a temp for two days the test came back positive for flu so panic status nd wizzed off to isolation

So now haven’t a clue what’s happening
