Hi folks. Had a stent fitted in my left main coronary artery last May. Was put on the usual heart meds including 2.5 mg of bisoprolol. After about 6 weeks, the heavy arms and chest returned. I put it down to the bisoprolol and it's slowing of the heart rate. Had an ECG done in Aug. All fine. Mentioned to my cardiologist in December and he took me off the Bisoprolol slowly. Last taken on 30th Dec. Arms still ache though. Anyone else have the same problem. It's horrible. I have to start off walking at a really slow rate. I was blaming the bisoprolol but maybe it's angina that will just never go away. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had something similar! After my stents (6) there were no complications, cardiac rehab and back to work. Several weeks later I had the most excrutiating pain in both arms-out of no where! In my mind I figured out that this was a delayed reaction to all the poking about that went on during my stents (both arms involved in turn).
So after a full week of agony the pain disappeared! Occassionally when I overstress my arms the pain returns but not as bad.
