My sister last week was diagnosed with heart failure at the age of 26 last week. We don’t know the exact cause yet as she’s awaiting an mri but my GP suspects cardiomyopathy or a valve issue may be the cause. I saw my GP as I’ve had a high heart rate for years and my sisters diagnosis has left me anxious about it. Luckily because of her diagnosis and my dad having AF she referred me for an echo and ECG,

Sisters diagnosis
I too just found out I have heart issues at the age of 30. I don't know which ones yet, just been told the echocardiogram was abnormal and the doctor will call me about it on Monday. It's frightening, my sympathies to your sister. I am reminding myself that cardiovascular medicine is more advanced than it's ever been and there's so much they can for hearts these days. Seems to be helping to calm my mind down, hopefully will be of some benefit to you.
The thing is that my sisters problem does turn out to be cardiomyopathy, then I’ll also have to be referred to genetics also. Im a very anxious person as it is, so being referred for the echo is stressful. At least my GP decided to send me for further tests after my sisters diagnosis. I’ve had a fast heart rate for years and didn’t think much of it, so it’s being looked at now
Sorry to hear your sisters diagnosis. There is a lot of medical help for her out there, don’t despair.
Your echo…..do not worry about it at all, it’s no bigger deal than an xray.
If a heart genetics is found , again, there is modern medical help there for you but try not to get anxious as could well be clear. X
Please as confirmed by a highly acclaimed Cardiologist in Australia take Ubiquinol which is necessary for every muscle and cell in your body and your heart is the largest muscle.

My mother’s father died of a HA at 64. My mother died at 62 after many years of heart issues - she had a bypass. My older sister and older brother have both had bypass surgery.
My GP told me bluntly many years ago that with my family medical history I needed to be on medication for the rest of my life. I had a massive HA nearly five years ago. Four stents fitted in two angioplasties a week apart. I attended the rehab and have been near obsessive about walking.
I walk up to 30 miles a week. I’ve had a few bouts of flu which set me back, but in the greater scheme of things I feel as fit as a butcher’s dog. I’m 71 in two weeks and outlived my mother and grandfather.
Look after yourself, be sensible and listen to your body and you’ll be fine. As will your sister.
I suspect it's from family history. I was diagnosed last year September 2023. No prior warning and the diagnosis floored me. But I had all the tests my parties are clean ect so not diet related. But although the terminology is scary it's not all bad. On medication I went from 20% Function to 32% function within 3 months. I have not had a echocadiogram or MRI since January but I feel back to almost normal. So hopefully the same with you sister.
Best regards
