I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation in March this year and for the last eight months have had episodes occasionally. I recently went on a Caribbean cruise and after being home for two days went into an AF episode and now have it continuously...my doctor has increased my bisoprosol twice as my heart rate is too high. While I was away I had really bad fluid retention in feet and legs and wonder if this has triggered the AF to be worse....seems strange it came on suddenly when I returned home.
